The END is Close!!

Some teachers look forward to this time of year........I personally dread it. I love each and every class I have had and currently have, I miss school so much after the first couple weeks of break. We have a lot yet to do before we set off for the summer. I have ordered 812 pictures to be cropped and written about!! We are waiting patiently for them to come to start our big final project. We have our Flat Stanley Tea, May 17th at 6:30 with our recorder concert to kick the night off. FUN DAY is May 24th in the afternoon. We are going to start Tall Tales next week as well as a program I have found to help multiplication mastery!!! We have two and a half weeks left and so much to accomplish. We will work hard to the end!!!

HAPPY SPRING BREAK!!!

Happy Spring Break to all of you!! I hope each and every one of you has a restful, safe and fun break. Our Reading State Assessments went very well!!! I was so pleased!!! Everyone did their best and worked so hard. We will hit those Math skills very hard the week we return and our Math Assessments will be the following week.

FIRST DAY DOWN!!

WE have completed our first day of testing today!!! I think all went well. I feel that everyone tried thier hardest and worked hard....We continue to test both Wednesday and Thursday!!!! Thanks for all your support and help with the testing process.

IT IS ALMOST SPRING!!!!

WE are getting ready to take our State Assessments soon!!! Next week we will take READING!!! We are ready to do our very best!! We also are starting our Flat Stanley Project. This is when we make flat students to send all over the USA to go on adventures....it is a lot of fun and we are looking forward to mailing them next Thursday......

Valentines Day

I have been sick the last two days....yuck...think i am on the mend enough to return tomorrow, Friday, February 5. I will be sending a list of students home for cards so no one will be left out. I also will be sending a note about our party which will be Thursday, February 11. We are busy getting ready for state assessments. Thanks for all your support and help.

JANUARY HAS COME and GONE!!!

Here it is the end of January and I have not posted for close to two months!! SO SORRY!!! WE have been SO busy in class preparing for state assessments. Most of our reading and math are consumed with state assessment skills review and some new. We utilize the computer carts at least three times a week to take formative test which are wonderful preparation for our tests in March!! I am proud of our progress and keep reminding the kidos just how important these tests are!! We are studying Kansas History in Social Studies and the Solar System and Science Fair Projects in Science.

NOVEMBER is HERE

WOW, it is hard to believe that November is here!!! I just counted and there are 13 days until Thanksgiving!!!! We have so much planned. November 11 we will be marching in the Veteran's Day parade in Manhattan. We will be painting tee-shirts on Monday. It will be lots of fun and I hope it is warm. We are working on Native Americans right now, we have two Block B students from KSU who are teaching this. We have started a new Spelling program which is individualize for each student. It is the hope that this will benefit all the students. We made it through CTBS tests and will begin State Assessment preparations this month. I also have two book orders to send out this week. I have set up on book club website the ability for parents to order directly online. It is honestly really a great thing, check it out.
